A new phase of the Financial Reform Act that Congress passed in 2008 is being implemented and the new Good Faith Estimate DOES NOT show the down payment, total closing costs or the total breakout of the monthly payment! In my opinion this is a train wreck for the American consumer as the most important features of a mortgage are no longer discussed on the Good Faith Estimate. Also fees are “lumped together” and not broken out line by line as they use to be.

The SRP residential solar rebate was reduced May 30, 2009 from $3.00 / watt to 2.70 / watt. Starting each May 1 for the next several years, the rebate is dropping an additional $0.15 / watt so May 1, 2010 it will drop from $2.70 / watt to $2.55/ watt or $750 on a 5000 watt system. Now is the time to buy.
